Akuapem Poloo awaits covid test result to start jail term
Actress Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo is expected to receive the results of her COVID-19 test today, Monday, 19 April 2021, before she starts her 90-day jail term, her lawyer, Mr Andrew Vortia, has indicated.
She was made to undergo the COVID-19 test on Friday.
The socialite will be taken to the Ankaful Prison in the Central Region if the results come out negative.
An Accra circuit court on Friday, 16 April 2021, sentenced Akuapem Poloo to the three-month jail term for the publication of a nude picture with her son.
She posted the picture on Instagram in June last year on the occasion of the boy’s seventh birthday.
She pleaded guilty to all three charges levelled against her.
The ‘Sexy Poloo’ singer was slapped with three charges of “publication of obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence, conduct that in any way undermines another person’s privacy or integrity and engaging in domestic violence namely conduct that in any way detracts or is likely to detract from another person’s dignity and worth as a human being”.
