COVID-19: Ghana Music Awards UK postponed
The 5th edition of Ghana Music Awards UK (GMA UK) has been postponed to next year.
A statement issued on Wednesday, 8 July 2020 by the Planning and Advisory Board of GMA UK stated that the postponement is as a result of the coronavirus outbreak in the “best interest of general safety of event patrons.”
The statement explained that due the negative impact of the coronavirus, “there have been restrictions with regards to public events and gathering in the UK and the rest of the world.”
The statement further indicated that “It is crucial at this moment to let our musicians, stakeholders, and supporters know that we are taking a keen interest in the measures issued by NHS and Government directives in curbing the spread of Codvid19 disease.”
