Captain Planet (4X4): Patriotism's pointless in Ghana | Relocate and don't return
One-third of Hiplife group 4X4 has urged citizens of Ghana who have the opportunity to relocate to do so without ever looking back.
Rap star Captain Planet said this via his X account.
He argued Ghanaian leaders have demonstrated they are unconcerned and self-centred.
Captain Planet, born Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey, adviced against patriotism, seeing as, in his view, it is pointless in a country within which a citizen's life "is not secured".
"If you’re fortunate enough to leave this country, please don’t come back. These leaders are only acquiring properties for their families & they don’t give a shit about you. Don’t die for this country in the name of being patriotic. Your future is not secured here. BE WISE," the Auntie Dede hitmaker wrote.
In subsequent posts, Captain Planet called the governing New Patriotic Party's (NPP) touted Ghana Card as a "stupid" and fruitless thing, implying its only use was for inconvenient taxation. He attached a black and white picture of a vehicle, from ancient Ghana, which bore an inscription that encouraged individuals to "paddle your own canoe" because "our leader are all goats".
Doubling down on the relocation he desired for Ghanaians, the Abodie hitmaker observed most citizens would have left for abroad to better their lives were it not for the difficulty of acquiring visas.
