‘Celebrating Hiplife & Highlife Legends’: DME Group Ltd dedicates London show to ‘paying tribute to Dada KD’s extraordinary contributions to music’

DME Group Ltd has mourned the passing of Highlife star Dada KD.
The singer-songwriter was billed to perform for DME Group’s London event dubbed Celebrating Hiplife & Highlife Legends on May 25, 2025. He, however, died on Friday, May 16, in Accra.
“Dada Kwaku Duah’s management team contacted DME Group Ltd on the evening of May 16, 2025, at approximately 10:23 PM, to break his passing to us. We have lost a true icon whose melodies and storytelling shaped generations,” a statement by DME Group Ltd said.
They continued, “Dada KD was scheduled to perform at the highly anticipated "Celebrating Hiplife and Highlife Legends in London" event on May 25, 2025, at Dominion Centre. While his absence is deeply felt, we believe the best way to honour his legacy is to continue with the celebration, paying tribute to his extraordinary contributions to music.”
