Dada KD died Friday night in hospital: Manager King Pee
Highlife star Kwaku Dua, alias 'Dada KD', has died.
His manager King Pee confirmed the news to the media.
Pee told myjoyonline, Dada KD took ill on Friday, May 16, 2025, got inactive and could not even talk.
He added the singer-songwriter was rushed to Gbawe SDA Hospital, Accra, where he died on Friday evening.
Dada KD was billed to perform in London on May 25 on a show meant to celebrate Highlife and Hiplife, Ghana's topmost music genres.
While Fatia Fata Nkrumah is perhaps Dada KD's most popular song, he was beloved locally and in the Diaspora for other hits like Odo Mu Anigye, Ene Me Nye, Yebeye Yen Ho Fi, So Mu Gye, and Obiaa Se Eye, among others.
