Jackline Acheampong, professionally known as Gyakie, has announced the release date for a new single.

Sometimes called Songbird, she revealed the title of the song as December, posting what appeared to be the official cover art, on X, Monday, April 1, 2024.

For caption, she left the note: "It’s yours on April 5th."

December, Gyakie's first for 2024, is the follow-up to her hugely successful Rent Free released in October 2023 – a Boomplay top 10 song, continent-wide.

Recently, the Afropop singer-songwriter was featured by Nigeria's Khaid for his hit single Run Away (Omalicha).

For the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) 2024, Gyakie's Scar featuring JBee is vying for the Most Popular Song of the Year, Best Hiphop Song, and International Collaboration of the Year titles. The Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste nominee is also competing in the Best Afropop Song category with her Rent Free.
