'El Arukah': Irene Logan rebrands as Grace Osei with new single
Vocal powerhouse Irene Logan has rebranded as Grace Osei.
This follows the release of her second Gospel song titled El Arukah.
The "shift" from secular music to sacred music, the music star revealed "was not difficult for me".
"I have always felt the call to spread the gospel, so the decision to leave the 'world' behind was more of a natural progression," she explained. "I’ve always had that within me. The moment I decided to step fully into the gospel, it didn’t feel difficult at all. It was just like coming home."
On her new name, the Runaway hitmaker said: "I was born Irene Elizabeth Grace Logan. My entire life story and journey has been a journey of faith and grace. Nothing else made more sense than to fully embrace that name. For me, Grace is a strong statement and a personal declaration of faith."
Mrs Grace Osei, married to a preacher, said: "Love and career are not difficult to balance at all. Once you know your role in the two, there will be no problem at all. As a Christian woman, I understand depending on the Holy Spirit to guide me in all things is wisdom."
"My husband and I minister together all the time. He is a solid teacher of the word of God and we are both ministers of the gospel. So, yes, sometimes, we minister together. I sing and he preaches. Christ is our foundation," he carried on.
"Also, we practice good communication and patience with one another. There is mutual respect and love for each other. We are very happy and blessed."
Grace Osei, 40, spoke to Graphic Showbiz.
Having met Prince Osei in 2022, she was wedded to him on April 19, 2024, at The Lord’s Garden Ministries, La Trade Fair, Accra.
“Getting married has been such a blessing. God blessed me with a very supportive husband who invests in me emotionally, financially and spiritually. Having a partner who is on your side makes everything so much easier. I feel protected and loved, and I’m able to create in a more relaxed headspace," she remarked.
“Yes! Marriage has transformed my life in a way I cannot adequately explain. It is a sacred union which is both spiritual and physical. Agreeing to intertwine your life with someone else in such a powerful way is life-altering. If he’s a good man, you’re blessed, but if he’s not, you’re in big trouble. Luckily for me, my husband is a good man.”
