Fashion enthusiasts at this year’s Glitz Africa Fashion Week were blown away with excitement as they watched drones carrying Selina Beb bags on the runway.

The drones introduced Selina Beb’s Collection with cute little pouches on the 2nd day of the Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2019 held at the Kempinski Hotel.

This preluded the catwalk show as the models followed wearing beautiful and colourful matching dresses and accessories to complement each look.

Explaining why she decided to use drones to introduce her show, Selina Bebaako-Mensah, Creative Director for Selina Beb, said: “Each year comes with something new and at Selina Beb, we are always looking for creative ways to excite our audience and bring something different to the runway. I felt using the drones to bring our little pouches as they swing on the catwalk is just a perfect way to introduce our collection.

“I also believe that fashion has everything to do with being innovative and creative and using the drones with our handbags simply connects fashion to technology and adds some fun and memorability to our show”.

The ready to wear line dubbed “Colours of Africa” featured a wide range of outfits made from customised Northern Kente fabrics mixed with different interesting materials including lace, silk and denim. Some were embellished to give the designs rich and sparkling effect.

Among the pieces shown were statement jewelleries, handbags, evening wear and formal wear for the modern and stylish woman. There were also male models who showcased their accessories for men.

Radio and TV Personality Caroline Sampson also joined other models on the runway in one of the dresses from Selina Beb’s Collection.

As part of the week-long event was a fashion and beauty Retail Lounge where Selina Beb designs were displayed for sale.
