Fatal car accident: Rapper Edem charged with 'careless, inconsiderate driving, negligently causing harm'
Denning Edem Hotor, professionally called Edem, has appeared before the Kaneshie District Court.
Arraigned today, Monday, December 11, 2023, Edem was charged with two counts of careless and inconsiderate driving, and negligently causing harm.
This was premised on the rap star allegedly knocking down and killing an unidentified woman on Sunday, December 10, in a vehicular accident.
According to graphic.com.gh, the accident happened around 2AM, while Edem was returning from a television programme at Abeka Junction.
Edem was driving an unregistered Honda Touring sedan on the George Walker Bush Highway when he knocked down an unidentified woman who, apparently, did not survive the impact.
In court, the rapper and entrepreneur did not register a plea – Her Ladyship Nana Abena Asor Owusu Amenyo presiding.
He was granted a bail of 50,000 with two sureties.
Edem returns to court on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
