Flowking Stone: 'Man of the moment King Paluta’s been singing from way back'
Rap star Flowking Stone has said, contrary to public opinion, King Paluta “has been singing from way back”.
He was on Asaase Radio’s drive time show talking to Elvis Crystal.
Flowking called Paluta “the man of the moment”.
He noted, while it may appear as though he connected with Paluta in this season of the latter’s wide acclaim, they had been on songs together several times in the past.
“If you go back, four or five years ago, before he blew up, he was on my albums. He’s on two different albums by me from back [in the day] – as a rapper – but he’s been singing from way back. So he’s my guy from back then. It’s not like I’m only featuring him today. I’ve been doing songs with him: Soldier and the rest,” the Go Low hitmaker explained.
He fondly recalled how "years ago," he told star DJ and radio personality Andy Dosty and “others” King Paluta was “very talented” and “talking about him in my interviews [from the past]” before he became star.
Looking at what Paluta has become now, rap star Flowking Stone remarked: “I’m so happy, I’m so proud.”
On God is Flowking Stone’s latest offering featuring his fellow from Kumasi, King Paluta.
Though Paluta has been in music as a performer and producer for about 20 years, it was his February 2024 hit Aseda, his two Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) trophies for Best New Artiste and Best Hiplife Song, and his July 2024 Makoma hit that have made him the talk of town.
When the rapper’s singing earned him hits, he was criticised for ditching rap for singing. He excels at both, however.
