Maame Efua Houadjeto, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), has received two prestigious awards, both locally and internationally, for her outstanding leadership in promoting Ghana’s tourism and cultural sectors.

On Facebook, the authority highlighted that at the 15th Goldbond RTP Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), Mrs Houadjeto was named Best Public Company CEO of the Year 2025, a recognition of her exceptional management and innovative strategies within the public sector.

On the global stage, she was honoured as Global Cultural Ambassador at a Pre-Grammy event in Beverly Hills, held ahead of the 2026 Grammy Awards. This accolade highlights her role in elevating Ghana’s cultural and creative economy on an international platform.

Under her leadership, Ghana has increasingly positioned itself at the intersection of tourism, culture, and the creative arts, not merely participating in global conversations but actively leading them.

GTA emphasised that these awards reflect the country’s growing influence in the global tourism and cultural landscape, reinforcing Ghana’s reputation as a hub for innovation and creativity.
