Disc Jockeys in Ghana now have an umbrella body that will assemble all of them to pursue a common purpose.

The DJs Union of Ghana (DJUGA), is, among its core objectives, to regulate members’ relations with their employers and/or employers’ associations, and with each other.

The group has a former programmes manager at YFM, Kwame Adu Gyamfi (DJ Killa Fingers), as its interim president.

DJUGA, with a membership of over 1,000 employed and self-employed disc jockeys across the country, will work to maximise the employment and overall income of DJs as well as protecting and improving working conditions.

The group will also offer advice, support and legal assistance for its members.
