Ghana to host Beyonce’s Vocal FX Engineer
The event, dubbed: Ghana International Music Clinic (GIMC) is on the theme: ‘Professionalism in vocal fx for live music performances’.
Speaking at the launch of GIMC, Nii Armah Addy, the founder of the organisers of the event, Institute of Professional Event Management (IPEM), said: “What is lacking in Ghanaian music is their inability to translate studio excellence into real live music performance to give their audience amazing experience at shows.”
He added that: “Ghanaian musicians spend so much time and money in the studio to produce excellent tracks yet the same quality of sound is not felt in their live performances.”
According to the organisers, the event is a clinic because it will diagnose musical problems and prescribe solutions in a practical workshop setting. Thus, the GIMC will serve as the backbone to promoting studio performances to real live performances in all genres of music.
Carl has worked as Beyoncé’s vocal fx engineer for the past four years developing a system to take her studio fx seamlessly into a live sound environment for real-time control.
