I’d have ‘attacked’ Obrafour by now but ‘I really love him’ – Pappy Kojo on 10-year wait for collabo

For a collaboration, “it’s terribly hard getting Obrafour,” Pappy Kojo has lamented.
“I’ve been trying for the past 10 years,” he said.
The Hiplife star was speaking to Zeal Nana Kweku Bliss on the Class Xtra programme on Class 91.3 FM.
In Pidgin, he indicated he would have long verbally attacked Obrafour were it not for the fact that “I really love that guy”.
“He’s Obrafour so I just let it slide,” the Hiphop act said lightheartedly. “Else, he would have had a really hard time at my hands. But I love him. I can’t do that to him.”
Apart from being a music star and fashion influencer, Pappy Kojo is a popular troll especially on social media. His attacks in the past have included all forms of humour and insults.
According to Pappy Kojo, he would have loved to have Hiplife legends Obrafour and Samini on his new tape, Millennium 2000 EP of four songs.
“Maybe next time,” he hoped.
While he “loved” albums from Reggie Rockstone and others of the 90s, he revealed the moment he heard Obrafour, he said to himself, “I will also do rap.”
“He gave me my career,” the Takoradi-born-and-raised but Italy-based rapper said. “He gave me the foresight. So I really don’t play with that guy. I know every Obrafour song.”
“I don’t think he knows how impactful he’s been in my life,” Pappy Kojo reasoned. “He thinks I’m fun fooling but it’s real. Obrafour is really dear to my heart. Shout out to him.”
The Millennium 2000 EP features two Hiplife greats: Mzbel, and KK Fosu.
Pappy Kojo has performed with Obrafour twice.
