I hawk boiled yam for a living – Kim Maureen
Bony To The World Record signee Kim Maureen has revealed that she is back on the streets, hawking boiled yam.
She was speaking in an interview with MzGee on 'Just being Us' on Akwaaba Magic.
Announcing her exit from the record label formed by the father of late singer, Ebony Reigns, she stated: "I thought I was representing Ebony not replacing Ebony, you can't just pick me from Ashaiman and tell me to represent Dansoman."
She added that she has left the camp, back to the streets to make a living.
"I hawk boiled yam for a living," she said.
A year ago, the founder of Bony to the World Records, Starboy Kwarteng, publicly disclosed that Kim Maureen has not been able to meet her part of their contract due to laziness.
In response to the allegations leveled against her, she said her boss asked her to leave her side hustle as an airtime vendor, saying it does not befit a celebrity.
“I am crying because it is painful for me to go through this kind of thing. Anytime I ask for money, I get insults in return. Sometimes when I ask for money, he tells me to get a boyfriend,” she bemoaned.
She continued: "He gave me GHS100 twice to buy thrift dresses and even the dresses I wear for shows, I return them afterwards.”
Kim Maureen is out with a new single titled 'All about Da Paper'
