I’ll love a collabo with Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie – Bro Sammy

Gospel musician Brother Sammy has said he wants to collaborate with three of the country's biggest artistes; Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie.

Speaking in an interview with Akwasi Akwah (Docta Kay) on Nkran Kwanso on Accra100.5FM on Wednesday, 31 July 2019, the ‘Nation Worshiper’ noted that the three artistes have a huge fanbase, hence, he will love to do a worship song with them to be able to tap into their fans and win souls for Christ.

“I’ll be glad to collaborate with a secular musician; I’ll collaborate with any secular musician who comes my way because they have a lot of fans and if I’m able to tap into their fanbase, I’ll be able to win souls for Christ. If I get Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, or Sarkodie, we can bring out a powerful worship song; I know if it’s the will of God, it’ll surely come to pass,” he said.

According to the ‘Nipa Hunu’ singer, he is not a hypocrite unlike other Christians. “Most Christians are hypocrites; I won’t be surprised if some Christians say they won’t listen to my song again if I collaborate with Shatta Wale but we don’t worship God with that mindset. We [Christians] have to make Christianity attractive to non-Christians.”

He continued: “The perfect place for us [preachers] to preach the word of God is in the clubs and spots, that’s where we should praise God, churches are not new to the word of God, the perfect place I, Brother Sammy, should be invited to preach the word of God is the club, spots, funeral grounds where many people have been gathered.

“I went to a place to preach and I asked if they know Jesus and they replied: ‘Who is he?’ As we are here claiming that we have preached the word and won souls for Christ, some people do not even know him, so, I think that’s where we should preach the word of God. I’m not a hypocrite that’s why my name is everywhere, don’t be surprised when you hear my name all over because I do what God wants,” he added.
