Isaac Twum-Ampofo: Ohemaa Mercy's ex-husband breaks his silence
Singer Ohemaa Mercy's ex-husband Isaac Twum-Ampofo has broken his silence.
Ampofo, who goes by the name Ike Twum on Instagram (IG), spoke following his ex-wife's shocking revelation about their marriage.
Speaking on TV3's Today's Woman, Gospel star Ohemaa Mercy recently indicated the COVID-19 pandemic was doubly tumultous for her as she spiritually wrestled with the devil over her marriage. She said she spent three months on an unnamed mountain seeking God's face concerning the matter. Finally, when God spoke, Ohemaa Mercy said he instructed her to dissolve her marriage to Ampofo. She added, her husband readily agreed to allow her to focus on her music and prophetic ministry.
Predictably, a public debate ensued especially among Christians, Gospel musicians, and social media users, since both Old and New Testaments of the Christian bible expressly state God detests divorce.
When Ohemaa Mercy's ex-husband and father of her children wrote on IG, however, he had no explanations for the controversial disclosure. He rather sought to steer the public discourse away from the divorce to the just-ended 2024 Tehillah Experience led by his ex-wife.
"I’m thrilled to share these amazing moments from the Tehillah Experience 2024!!!" Isaac Twum-Ampofo wrote, attaching images from the event. "Let’s keep our focus on God’s goodness - the thousands who encountered God, the miracles, and the testimonies."
"Congratulations to the woman of God @ohemaamercyofficial for availing herself for the Masters Use!" the entrepreneur and motivational speaker continued. "Your dedication to creating a space for worship and praise is truly admirable. May God continue to use you mightily."
Isaac Twum-Ampofo concluded by emphasising: "Let’s keep the conversation centered on God’s goodness and the impact of this event. Share your own testimonies and favorite moments from the Tehillah Experience! #Bethelexperience #TehillahExperience #Worship."
