Ghanaian singer Maya Blu has commended compatriot and industry mate Mr Drew for his prompt agreement to collaborate with her on a song.

It was a dream come true working with Mr Drew, she said to Nana Kwesi Asare Saturday, April 29, 2023, on Class 91.3 FM. 

“It’s like a dream come true because I actually wished for it and it came true,”

According to Maya Blu, it happened that “one day I just felt like doing a song with Mr Drew would be very cool.”

She added her reasons – she sees herself in the Highly Spiritual star.

“He’s a performer, I’m also a performer,” she said. “I love dancing, and he loves dancing as well – I mean, he can really dance.

“He’s a very good vocalist and you know, all this combination, it’s like we have some similarities.”

With this desire and realization, she “suggested” the collaboration to her boss Richie Mensah, founder and Chief Executive Officer of the renowned Achimota-based Lynx Entertainment.

Maya recalled Richie agreeing saying, “Yeah, we could work something out.”

Hence, “we came up with a song and then we sent it to him [Mr Drew],” she added.

Noting that the Mood hitmaker “gladly” joined her on the song, she complimented his part of the song as a “fire verse”.

The song, Sho, “is doing extremely well,” she remarked, urging The Big Show audience to give it a listen on the streaming platforms.
