'KANI: A Bantama Story': Ko-Jo Cue's 17-track album ready since July but releases in Nov
Rap star Ko-Jo Cue has revealed his second solo album, KANI: A Bantama Story, will be released in November 2025.
Speaking to Prince Benjamin (PB) on Accra 100.5 FM’s Entertainment Capital, he said the tape packed 17 songs.
On heralding singles, he said only two of his recent three releases will be on the project.
“Abebrese [featuring Fameye] is not on the album,” he said, Onipa Hia Mmoa featuring Ayisi, and Tontonte featuring Arathejay and Ofori Amponsah being the remainder.
He disclosed the album had been ready since July 2025, “but you know before release, you need to make some important preparations, and receive permissions from some people, too”.
He explained he had “one of two samples” on the project, citing one coming from Ojorley hitmaker Cina Soul, “which I have cleared already and so I can talk about.
“There is another sample, but for that I am talking to the veteran about it. I can’t disclose much now because he is yet to agree.”
Apart from Can I hitmaker Ayisi, Highlife legend Ofori Amponsah, and Jesus Christ 2 hitmaker Arathejay, Ko-Jo Cue assured the album will have more features, “but I won’t mention names now so that I don’t take away from the surprise and fun of discovery for the fans”.
Ko-Jo Cue's debut solo album, For My Brothers, of 15 tracks, was hailed as a classic by fans and critics alike. The project played like a big brother who was offering consolation, guidance and therapy to his siblings. The tape had guests like Ayisi, Maayaa, Worlasi, J. Derobie, Show Dem Camp, etc.
