Ghanaian Afropop songstress, Wendy Shay, is being trolled on social media following her tweets intended to mourn America’s basketball legend Kobe Bryant.

Social media commentators have questioned the kind of relationship that existed between Wendy Shay and the 41-year-old basketball giant before his passing.

In a tweet to commiserate with the family of Kobe Bryant who died on Sunday, 26 January 2020 in a private helicopter crash, Wendy Shay said: “RIP Kobe Bryant; until we meet again".

Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were among nine people killed in the crash in the city of Calabasas, California.

Throwing jabs at the ‘Uber’ hitmaker, one of the commentators with the name Medikal firstborn asked, “Aunty Wendy Shay, where do you know him from....dead human too you dey do Ahushish3...or peer pressure barb”.

Rose Blinz also questioned, “Nanka if it wasn't his death nanka have you ever heard of him? Eih Akosua Wendy”.

Youngster’s CEO also tweeted, “Eei Wendy Shay wopri papa! Madam sounds like she's featured Kobe on one of her songs or you go twerk give am for US?”.
