Medikal's Twitter account suspended

The Twitter account of Ghanaian rapper Medikal has been suspended.
The reason for this is not immediately apparent but speculations have it that the 'Stubborn Academy' hitmaker's account, with 320,000 followers, breached the impersonation rule of the App.
On Sunday, November 6, 2022, the new Chief Executive Officer of Twitter, Elon Musk, announced via a tweet that: “Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying ‘parody’ will be permanently suspended.”
“Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning,” he added and revealed: “This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue.”
The South African billionaire, the richest person in the world, in the three-tweet thread also warned: “Any name change at all will cause temporary loss of verified checkmark.”
Before the suspension of Medikal's verified (blue tick) account, it is reported he had changed his name to 'Mr President' even though he maintained the handle @AmgMedikal.
He also tweeted a picture of Ghana's President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with the hashtag #NewProfilePic on top as caption.
