Meek Mill desires to be Ghanaian
Meek Mill wants to be officially pronounced a Ghanaian.
The American rap star made this known via an X post, Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
The reason he provided was where he was born, lives and gained fame, was originally "made" to destroy "black men" who went against the status quo.
Meek Mill did not mention if he meant to renounce his American citizenship or add his intended Ghanaian citizenship to it.
The Philadelphia-native wrote: "I wanna get citizenship in Ghana!!!! America made to tear black men down if you don’t follow orders!"
Prior to the above post, Mill observed America had become dangerous, implying this necessitated the carrying of fire arms for self-defence, because of "illegal immigrants everywhere". He noted "poison in most drugs" and "mind control" also.
After revealing on social media that he was, according to an ancestry test, 18 per cent of Ghanaian stock, Meek Mill visited the famous West African country for the first time in 2022. He originally came to perform as a headliner for an Afro Nation music concert.
While in Ghana, the Grammy-nominated rapper and music executive met President Akufo-Addo, in the Golden Jubilee House, Accra.
