Nhyira Marfo Okyere (Team Eternity): Cause of death currently unknown – Family

The family of Nhyira Marfo Okyere has challenged allegations concerning the Team Eternity Ghana (TEG) singer's cause of death.
The singer’s family requested for “privacy during this difficult time” as it is “still trying to come to terms with this tremendous loss”.
Nhyira Marfo died on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The previous Sunday, she had been seen leading TEG in singing Stella Seal's Okura Yen Mu (God Holds Us) at two ceremonies. Social media rumours concerning her death included poisoning, food poisoning and epilepsy.
“We wish to categorically state that these claims are completely untrue and unfounded,” her family’s August 13 statement said.
It added: “The cause of Nhyira’s death has not been ascertained yet, and we urge everyone to refrain from spreading false and harmful information.”
The singer’s family assured it would keep the public “updated on any developments”.
