Details for the late mother of Rex Omar's one-week observance have been revealed.

Highlife star and music executive Rex Kwame Owusu Marfo, professionally called Rex Omar, shared the details via a flyer on Facebook.

Ms Grace Adwoa Duoduwaa, Omar's mother, passed at 77. Her one-week observation, open to "all friends and sympathisers," will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at The Page, off the Kaneshie-Mallam Road at 8AM.

Per Akan tradition, during the one-week observation, the date for the burial of Grace A. Duoduwaa, alias O'Gray, will be deliberated upon and decided by family. 

O'Gray was blessed with eight children, two being girls. A dressmaker, her first child was a boy, Rex Omar, born in 1965, a year after she married a medical practitioner, Mr Emmanuel Rexford Owusu Ansah. 

Ms Duoduwaa passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
