Sadio Mane is married.

The star winger's wedding ceremony happened on Sunday, January 7, 2024, in Dakar, the capital of his home country, Senegal.

The former Liverpool player wed Aisha Tamba in an Islamic marriage ritual called Nikah.

On Monday, on X, he posted photos of his wife and himself in white, beaming with smiles.

As caption, the Al-Nassr star wrote in Arabic: "Alhamdulillah," to wit "Praise Allah".

Mr and Mrs Mane are from neighbouring villages: Bambali and Casamance, respectively.

It is reported Mane, 31, first took notice of Aisha when she was 16. He approached her uncle, making his intentions known, eventually marrying her in her 18th year. 

Meanwhile, Sadio Mane recently inaugurated a stadium he built in his hometown and joined Senegal's Teranga Lions in their training camp in preparation for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
