Shooting hoax, gun-brandishing: Shatta Wale, Medikal granted GHS100k bail each
Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and his three accomplices have been granted a self-recognisance bail of GHS100, 000.
The artiste was granted bail Tuesday morning, 26 October 2021 when he appeared in court after being held in prison custody for a week in connection with a hoax shooting incident on his birthday, 18 October 2021.
He was arrested on 19 October 2021.
His accomplices include Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator.
They have been charged with abetment of crime.
The hoax shooting incident coincided with a prophecy given by a pastor popularly known as ‘Jesus Ahuofe’.
Also, hiplife artiste Medikal, who has been in prison custody for five days for brandishing a gun on social media, has also been granted bail of GHS100,000.
He was remanded by a circuit court judge in Accra on 22 October 2021.
He is also to produce one surety who should be a public servant.
Medikal has been charged with the display of arms and ammunition.
The case has been adjourned to November 9.
They have all pleaded not guilty to the charges.
