Stand-in actor for 'Papa Ajasco' character dead

Nigeria's veteran actor and ethnomusicologist Femi Ogunrombi has died.
Mr Ogunrombi became popular for playing the 'Papa Ajasco' role on the Wale Adenuga’s comedy series.
He took over from the initial actor for the character Abiodun Ayoyinka.
The news of Ogunrombi's death was announced by theatre practitioner, broadcaster and culture critic Husseini Shaibu, Ph.D, on Twitter, Saturday, January 14, 2023.
"I have just been reliably informed that the ethnomusicologist, former music instructor with @NATIONALTROUPE and one time stand-in for the 'Papa Ajasco' character on the popular @waleadenugaprod Comic Series 'Papa Ajasco' Mr. Femi Ogunrombi is dead! Journey well, Sir," Shaibu wrote.
