Stop using my brand to promote your 'family and friends' awards – Joyce Blessing
Ghanaian gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, has called on organisers of what she describes as “family and friends awards music schemes” to desist from using her brand to promote their awards if they will not put her songs in deserving categories.
The “I swerve you” hitmaker was speaking in an interview with Nana Kwame Gyan on NO.1 105.3FM in Accra.
In her opinion, she has worked really hard in the year under review and, therefore, finds it disrespectful to her brand if the organisers of the award schemes cannot place her in categories she is deserving of but rather add her to a few categories to promote their awards.
The artiste, who indicated that most music award schemes in the country are not credible, noted that organisers of such schemes use her brand to promote their awards while robbing her innocent fans of their money by asking them to vote for her.
Joyce Blessings cautioned the organisers of such schemes to put a stop to it.
