Teddy Osei’s burial mass to be held on April 5

Music icon Teddy Osei’s burial mass will come off on Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Starting at 9 AM, the ceremony will be held at St Peter’s Basilica, Roman Hill, Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
An hour earlier, however, the Osibisa founding member will be laid in state at his family house at Chirapatre, Kumasi.
An interment at the Chirapatre Royal Cemetery will end the day’s rites.
A thanksgiving service will follow on Sunday, April 6, at St Michael’s Catholic church, Chirapatre. After that will come the final funeral rites from 1 PM to 6 PM at the family house in Chirapatre.
A renowned saxophonist, Teddy Osei passed on Tuesday morning, January 14. He was 88.
