Meet Isaac Tandoh (PhD): A Ghanaian brand communicator featured by Afsesnet Magazine
Ike Tandoh (PhD), is an accredited public relations professional and a chartered management consultant.
He has spent all his adult life teaching and impacting the children and youth in Africa.
Losing his mother at age 14, young Ike took the responsibility of inspiring and motivating the less-privileged young adults in Ghana and Africa through writing and publication of moral fiction stories.
Ike took to storytelling at the age of 19 and has about 27 novels to his name, including his all-time best-seller “Dear Mama, why so soon”.
He has over 20 years of dutifully-earned experience in Corporate Communications, Integrated Communications, Brand Communications, Journalism, Publishing, and Strategic Management.
Ike has served as a brand communications strategist, lead spokesperson for both local and international brands, and a scholar of Integrated Marketing Communication and Strategic Brand Communications.
Teaching and practising as a Corporate Anthropologist, Dr Tandoh’s research focuses on the role integrated marketing communications plays in connecting stakeholders to brands and how mutually beneficial relationships between firms and their customers can be established through an effective integrated communication approach.
His research areas are Public Relations Strategy, Integrated Marketing Communications, Brand Communications, Corporate Social Responsibly, Crisis Communication, and Strategic brand management.
Ike Tandoh has published in leading and reputable journals like the Palgrave Journals, European Journal of Business and Management; Text Engineering and Management; International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation; Texila International Journal, International Journal of Innovation and Research; and Covenant Journal of Communication (CJOC), etc.
His professional engagements span multiple industries including Academia, Media, Banking, Publishing, INGO, and Consultancy.
Ike has lectured for seven years in tertiary education in the following institutions: Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), GIMPA, NIBS, University of Professional Studies (UPSA), Central University, Christian Service University etc.
He has four years of experience in international development work and served as a Public Relations Specialist.
He has 8 years of experience in banking and served as the Head of Corporate Affairs/Marketing.
Also, he has four years of experience as a Principal Brand Communication Consultant and consulted for institutions like Unicef, SSNIT, GFA, Ghana Health Service, Ghana Education Service, Illapi Ghana, International Community Schools, Escort Securities, etc.
