In the heart of this vibrant mining and agricultural community, a new chapter is unfolding—one that promises to redefine the future of the constituency.

With a vision rooted in education, industry, and empowerment, the people of Amenfi Central are on the brink of witnessing the birth of a university that could transform their community into a hub of knowledge and opportunity.

It all began with a simple dream: to build an institution where young people can acquire the skills they need to thrive in mining, agriculture, and technology.

Today, that dream is becoming a reality. The land for the proposed university has already been secured—16 acres initially, with an additional 105 acres on standby, all meticulously chosen to support this ambitious project.

Feasibility studies and detailed site plans are currently underway, signalling serious progress toward turning this vision into a tangible institution.

This university isn’t just about classrooms and degrees; it’s about unlocking potential.

It’s about creating a space where the youth of Amenfi Central can learn, innovate, and lead.

The community’s rich mineral resources and fertile lands make it an ideal location for a specialised school of mines, a school of agriculture, and technology programmes—all designed to equip residents with relevant skills and keep talent thriving within the community.

The driving force behind this ambitious initiative is  Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central.

She has championed the project from the outset, emphasising her unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and community development.

“The site for the university has already been secured,” she announced on a tour of the area.

“We are currently working on detailed site plans and conducting feasibility studies to ensure that this project will be sustainable and impactful for our people.”

Her dedication underscores her belief that this university will serve as a catalyst for local growth and prosperity.

But the plans don’t stop at education.

In a move to foster economic development,  Joana Gyan Cudjoe is also investing over 3.5 million Cedis into establishing a Ghana block factory—a manufacturing enterprise that promises to create jobs and stimulate local industry.

Workers are assured fair wages, and the factory is expected to serve as a catalyst for broader economic growth.

The excitement is palpable among residents, who see this project as a beacon of hope and progress.

It’s a testament to the community’s resilience and the unwavering belief that, with the right investments and vision, Amenfi Central can rise to new heights.

As the plans for the university continue to take shape, many are eager to see this dream come to life—a symbol of aspiration, opportunity, and the enduring spirit of Amenfi Central.

This is more than just a university; it’s the beginning of a new era for the community—a place where futures are built and dreams become reality.
