A/R: Remove all banners, posters – Regional Minister to NPP aspirants
The governing New Patriotic Party's Steering Committee has decided that no billboards, banners, posters among others advertising the various aspirants will be allowed within the Ashanti Region, especially in the Greater Kumasi area during its National Delegates' conference.
The Ashanti Regional Minister has been given the responsibility to remove all such billboards.
The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, in a statement signed by the Regional Minister, Mr Simon Osei Mensah, directed all aspirants to remove their billboards, posters by Wednesday midnight or risk having such campaign material downed by the regional authorities.
“Consequently, I am requesting anyone who has mounted or pasted any of such items within the Region to remove them latest by 12 midnight tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 December 2021”.
He said a failure to obey this directive by the end of the deadline will leave him with “no other option but to ensure the removal of all such items”.
He said Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives are also directed to remove all such items after the deadline.
