Ahmed Suale’s death: It's a high-ranking NPP ex-minister behind it, if police doesn't speak in 2 days, I shall – A-Plus

Gomoa Central MP Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) has indicated he will use all means available to him to bring the public into the knowledge of the one he was credibly informed was behind the death of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale.
According to Kwame A-Plus, in 2024, he provided information concerning Suale’s murder to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
During the meeting at the CID headquarters, the socio-political commentator said he identified a high-ranking minister of the out-gone New Patriotic Party (NPP) government who was allegedly involved in contracting the killers of Suale.
A-Plus, making the disclosure on his Facebook timeline, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, underlined he expected the CID Director, Commissioner of Police (COP) Faustina Andoh-Kwofie, to update the public concerning the progress of the police’s investigation of Suale death.
He warned if after two days no such update comes from the police, he would ensure the George Akuffo Dampare-led police service is summoned to parliament for a formal briefing on the case.
In the instance that does not work, A-Plus said he would use his social media platforms to unveil the identity of the individual he was made to understand was behind the journalist’s 2019 death.
Read the entire statement by Kwame A-Plus below:
Last year, I was invited to the CID headquarters to provide information regarding the murder of Ahmed Suale. During the meeting, I identified a high-profile minister from the previous government who was allegedly involved in contracting assailants to carry out the crime. I also disclosed my source, a highly credible one, in the presence of the CID director.
It is critical that the CID director updates the public on the progress of the investigation and indicate with justification whether additional time is required.
At this point, it appears the matter has been sidelined. If no update is provided within 48 hours, I will invoke my authority as a Member of Parliament to formally summon the Ghana Police Service to brief Parliament on this case. Should that fail, I will utilize my Facebook and other social media platforms to update the nation on what I know about the matter which shall include the name of the alleged perpetrator.
