Bishop Bonegas warns against excesses on Valentine's Day
As Valentine's Day approaches tomorrow, Bishop Daniel Kwame Kissi, also known as Bishop Bonegas, General Overseer of Pentecostal Ministry, has cautioned against excessive celebration, particularly when it comes to alcohol consumption.
Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM's Ghana Yensom morning show hosted by Chief Jerry Forson on Friday, February 13, Bishop Bonegas emphasised that there's nothing wrong with couples celebrating the day, but warned against overindulgence that could lead to accidents or harm to others.
"There's nothing wrong with going out to celebrate Valentine's Day with your partner, that's okay," Bishop Bonegas said.
"But overindulging in alcohol to the point of causing an accident or harm to others is the problem."
The Bishop urged couples to celebrate responsibly, prioritising love, safety, and respect for others.
He encouraged Ghanaians to use the day to strengthen relationships and show appreciation for loved ones, rather than engaging in reckless behaviour.
