Black Stars arrive in Ghana after early Afcon exit
They were eliminated in the round 16th stage of the competition by Tunisia after losing 4 – 5 on penalties.
The team arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on Thursday morning (11 July 2019) but not to a rousing welcome by fans.
Meanwhile, Kassim Adams, Kwadwo Asamoah, Andy Yiadom and Thomas Teye Partey are reported to have departed for their respective clubs.
The Afcon trophy has eluded Ghana for 37 years.
President Nana Akufo-Addo said he was "gutted" by the team's early exit but expressed confidence that they shall bounce back stronger in subsequent competitions.
