The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey, popularly known as “Logass” and nicknamed the “Grassroots Chief of Staff,” is earning praise from sections of the public for what many describe as a strong focus on job creation and grassroots empowerment.

Mr Kotey has reportedly overseen the recruitment of more than 1,000 contract staff to support operations at newly established DVLA stations across the country.

Supporters say the move has provided employment opportunities for many young people and strengthened service delivery at the Authority.

They argue that the recruitment drive reflects a practical commitment to improving livelihoods while expanding access to DVLA services nationwide.

Some have commended the DVLA boss for prioritising results over rhetoric, describing his leadership as responsive to the needs of ordinary Ghanaians.

According to them, the expansion of staffing at the new stations is not only enhancing efficiency but also directly empowering communities through job creation.

Mr Kotey has in recent months been associated with efforts to modernise and decentralise DVLA services, aimed at reducing congestion at existing offices and improving customer experience.

Observers say the recruitment of additional personnel is expected to help the Authority meet growing demand while improving turnaround times for services.
