Efficient IGF use lessens govt’s burden – Agyeman-Manu

Mr Agyeman-Manu said the efficient utilisation of IGFs can change and strengthen Ghana’s health system completely.
He charged other medical superintendents heading state-owned hospitals to take a cue from Dr Kumi and be resourceful in the discharge of their duties.
“How I wish other medical superintendents across the country will see what he has done here. The efficient utilisation of IGF can change and strengthen the health system completely so that we wouldn’t put a lot of burden on the government. Government resources are not coming but this is what some little support from his own IGF window has done,” Mr Agyeman-Manu said.
He made the statement on his visit to the Ho Municipal Hospital, as part of his three-day tour of the Volta Region.
The facilities that have been given a facelift with the IGF include a theatre, a neo-natal intensive care unit (NICU), a labour ward and an emergency unit currently under construction.
