Fire destroys shops at Kasoa's Ghana flag junction

A massive fire broke out at Ghana Flag Junction in Kasoa in the Central Region on Monday evening, destroying several shops and structures.
The blaze, which started around 5:30 p.m., had engulfed some buildings along the Kasoa-Obom road, including carpentry shops and drinking spots.
Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have been working tirelessly to bring the inferno under control.
So far, no casualties have been reported, but the fire has caused extensive damage, with property losses estimated in the tens of thousands of cedis.
Residents in the area are fearful due to the presence of overhead power lines and two nearby fuel stations, which pose additional risks if the fire spreads further.
