Gender Minister joins defence officials to commiserate with families of deceased recruits

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has joined the Deputy Minister of Defence and members of the military high command to visit the families of the deceased victims of the recent Ghana Armed Forces recruitment tragedy.

Dr. Lartey expressed her Ministry’s condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of the government’s commitment to providing psychosocial support, particularly to the affected women and children.

She emphasised the importance of compassion and coordinated support in moments of national grief.

The visit, undertaken jointly with the Deputy Defence Minister and senior military officers, formed part of efforts by the government to console the families and assess their immediate needs following the tragic incident.
