'Nkoko Nketenkete' project launched in Amasaman to boost food security and livelihoods
The 'Nkoko Nketenkete' Project has been officially launched in the Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, marking a significant step toward enhancing household incomes, strengthening food security, and promoting sustainable economic opportunities within local communities.
The initiative was launched on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, with the Member of Parliament for Amasaman, Sedem Afenyo, expressing optimism about the impact of the project on residents.
According to the MP, the 'Nkoko Nketenkete' Project goes beyond poultry production, focusing on empowering households, promoting self-reliance, and building a resilient local economy from the grassroots level.
Describing the initiative as a transformative intervention, the lawmaker noted that it is designed to create sustainable livelihoods while improving access to affordable sources of protein within the constituency.
The MP also extended appreciation to stakeholders, development partners, beneficiaries, and community members whose collaboration and commitment ensured the successful rollout of the project.
The 'Nkoko Nketenkete' Project is expected to play a key role in stimulating local economic activity and supporting the government’s broader agenda of agricultural development and community empowerment.
