Ghana’s Parliament is set to resume sittings on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, marking the start of the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic after the Christmas break ended proceedings for the First Session in December 2025.

In preparation for the new session, the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business has met with Ministers of State to assess progress on pending legislation and harmonise government priorities for the months ahead.

The House is expected to receive a range of bills, ministerial statements, and parliamentary questions addressing critical national concerns during the sitting.

Key items on the legislative agenda include discussions on illegal mining activities and the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, popularly known as the Anti-LGBT Bill, which is anticipated to spark vigorous debate among Members of Parliament.
