Police restore calm after chieftaincy violence in Sampa

The Ghana Police Service says it has restored calm in Sampa following violent chieftaincy-related clashes on September 10 that left one person dead and several others injured.
In a statement, police confirmed that the Inspector-General of Police had deployed reinforcement teams to the Bono Region to support local officers in maintaining law and order.
Security has since been beefed up, with intensified patrols in Sampa and nearby communities to prevent further disturbances.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
