President Mahama appoints Kwasi Kyei Darkwah as Special Envoy to the Caribbean region
President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has appointed former Chief Executive Officer of Class Media Group(CMG), Mr. Kwasi Kyei Darkwah(KKD), as Ghana’s Special Envoy to the Caribbean Region.
The appointment comes at a strategic moment as Ghana intensifies efforts to deepen cultural, economic, and diplomatic relations with Caribbean nations and boost cooperation and investment across the Atlantic.
Mr. Darkwah—renowned for his extensive experience in media, public communications, brand development, and cultural advocacy—is widely regarded as an excellent choice for the role.
His background includes significant work in investment promotion, public affairs, and cultural diplomacy, including service at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre.
His strong oratory skills, refined diplomatic presence, and ability to build cross-cultural connections are expected to be valuable assets.
As Special Envoy, Mr Darkwah will help foster goodwill for Ghana, strengthen partnerships with diverse stakeholders in the Caribbean, advance cultural exchanges, and promote foreign direct investment.
The government extends its best wishes to Mr. Darkwah as he takes on this important national assignment.
