Ras Mubarak: Former MP sues MTN for $5m
Abdulai Mohammed Mubarak alias Ras Mubarak has sued telecommunications company MTN Ghana (Scancom PLC) at the Accra High Court.
The former Kumbungu Member of Parliament is seeking USD5 million in damages, accusing MTN for failing to provide him with roaming services during an international business trip.
The November 27, 2024, lawsuit notes a breach of contract, reputational damage and financial loss suffered by the former lawmaker due to MTN Ghana’s alleged negligence despite earlier arrangements.
A former Chief Executive of the National Youth Authority, Ras Mubarak shared the writ on Facebook and, for caption, wrote: “Take a read. Lawsuit against MTN Ghana. This is for the millions of voiceless customers. So help us God, Amen.”
