Residents in Accra West to experience power cuts as ECG schedules maintenance
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has given notice of a scheduled maintenance activity that will lead to a temporary interruption in power supply across sections of the Accra West Region.
According to the company, the exercise is part of ongoing efforts to enhance service quality and improve the stability of electricity delivery to customers.
The maintenance work is set for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, and will run between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
ECG stated that the outage will affect a number of communities, including Fadama, Kwashieman, Nyamejye, Darkuman, Abeka, Lapaz, Tabora, Race Course, Kwashiebu, Chantan and Hansonic.
Other areas expected to be impacted are Dansoman Junction, Mallam Junction, McCarthy, Choice, Sampa Valley, Alogboshie, Achimota Neoplan, Benjilo, Manhean, Oduman, and nearby locations.
The company has apologised to customers for any inconvenience the planned maintenance may cause.
