Speaker lauds Agbodza for punctuality

News
The Speaker of Parliament, Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye, has singled out the Member of Parliament for Adaklu, Mr Kwame Agbodza, for praise for his punctuality to parliament.

According to Prof Oquaye, Mr Agbodza’s contribution to duty and punctuality to the work of parliament are crucial for Ghana's democratic journey.

The Speaker made the observation when the family of a former MP for Ho East, Steve Akorli, paid a courtesy call on him and parliament about the final funeral rites of the late lawmaker.

While singing the praises of the late Akorli whom he described as a punctual lawmaker, Prof Oquaye said: “I could not but today say somehow it looks as if you Adaklu people, you produce some fine MPs and I must say so in public because one of the most respected members of the house today is your current Member of Parliament, in terms of ability, contribution and punctuality which is not an easy thing for us in the house.

“And if there’s an example of punctuality, that is the man sitting right in front of you [pointing to Kwame Agbodza]. He is very punctual, so, it just occurred to me that these Adaklu people, how do they do it?...”
