The Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson, through the Regional Coordinating Council and the Western Regional House of Chiefs, has held a strategic development dialogue with key political actors in the Western Region.

The one-day dialogue brought together stalwarts of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), ministers of state and senior political appointees from the President John Mahama-led government who hail from the region.

The dialogue centered on regional development, providing a platform for paramount chiefs, members of parliament and metro, municipal, and district chief executives to discuss the development challenges facing the region.

The Paramount Chief of Lower Dixcove, Nana Akwasi Agyemang (IV), lauded the regional minister and the leadership of the ruling government for organising the maiden dialogue, which united stakeholders on one platform to discuss the Western Region’s development.

A statement signed by Richard Kirk-Mensah, the Regional Communication Officer, announced, “Nanamom and the leadership of the region are scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the President today, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the seat of government.”
