Akatsi: Man busted for allegedly raping a mentally challenged woman
The Akatsi police in the Volta Region have arrested a 30-year-old man, Emmanuel Kusorgbor for allegedly raping a 40-year-old mentally deranged woman.
The arrest follows a report filed with the police on Sunday October 24, 2021 to the effect that on same day at about 13:30 hours, the suspect Emmanuel Kusorgbor popularly known as ‘SIR’ sneaked into the room of the mentally incapacitated woman and had sexual intercourse with her and afterwards scaled over the wall upon sensing danger from relatives of the victim.
The Police issued a police medical form for the victim to be sent to Akatsi Municipal Hospital for examination and treatment.
After a careful examination and endorsement by the Medical Officer of the said Hospital, the Police swiftly arrested suspect Emmanuel Kusorgbor on October 29, 2021, for further investigations.
