B/R: Police officer stabbed to death, suspect shot and killed

The Police Administration has confirmed that a Police officer has been stabbed to death and in the process the violent suspect was also shot and killed.
The incident happened at the Nyamebekyere Police station in the Berekum District of the Bono Region.
According to reports, the suspect, Yaw Peprah, on arrival at the station without any provocation stabbed the deceased at the counter severely on the neck and other parts of the body with a knife concealed in his pocket.
The stabbed policeman was rushed to a hospital but died at the facility.
The suspect fled the scene and went into hiding at Komfuokrom also in Berekum.
When the Police fished him out and attempted to arrest him, he resisted and also attempted to stab the officer.
In the process, he was shot and taken to the Holy Family Hospital for medical care but was pronounced dead on arrival.
