C/R: NPP PC for Twifo Ati-Morkwa and two others caged for fraud
The governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Twifo Ati-Morkwa Constituency in the Central Region, Mr Ebenezer Dwamena, along with two others, has been remanded in custody.
The accused are facing charges of conspiracy to defraud by false pretence and false pretences, in violation of section 131 of the Criminal and Other Offences Act 1960 (Act 29).
The Assin Kyekyerwere Circuit Court presided over by Her Ladyship Sophia Priscila Yeboah, made the decision to remand the accused.
This decision is intended to provide the Police with time to forward the case docket to the attorney general's Office for further advice.
